FPN is an artist’s book designed as part of “Fons perdut de núvols”, solo show at M/A/C Mataró and Galería Rocío Santa Cruz (Barcelona) by catalan artist Andreas Galeano. The publication (in 3 languages – English, Spanish and Catalan) is constituted by a box including 170 loose pages and a booklet with 55 pages.

From the curatorial statement: “Since 5 years the stay hungry-team is going every August to an annual summer retreat at lovely Kleinwalsertal in Austria to rest for a while from frantic urban lifestyle and refresh the batteries for the last third of the year. On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of stay hungry project space in June 2019 a special exhibition format was conceived to celebrate in a special way: this time 26 artworks and contributions by 27 former and some new stay hungry artists and participants will go on a travel to Kleinwalsertal in Austria with us. The exhibition concept for 26 Relaxercises follows the idea of holiday, refreshment, enjoyment, meditation and taking a break from daily life. The interventions will take place in the public space of Kleinwalsertal at several locations  like on a peak, on meadows, on a mountain slope, next to a waterfall, in a cheese factory, on a sandy mountain stream beach, next to a tent, at the bus station, in the supermarket, in a chapel together with cows, lamas or the local postman etc.
The approach was to take one artwork or contribution by every artist/participant on that journey and to create a series of 26 individual outdoor exhibitions and interventions over the course of 5 days in the mid of August 2019. Every artwork was on view for only a few minutes to a few hours and there wasn’t a classical opening, exhibition period or audience, beside the local people who joined in accidently or became part of some of the works. In that sense stay hungry would like to enable a relaxing time for the submitted works and contributions in a natural as well as cultural interesting environment to bring them some relief from daily, arty life and pave the way for unforseen encounters with passers-by that can result in new points of view and generate exciting situations.

From the exhibition statement: “… as a minimal, conceptual artist Antoanetta Marinov questions how to make stories and pictures by means of minimal and reduced actions and gestures. In performative moving images objects of everyday-day-life are combined and used in a way to make video narratives arise; Well known gestures and situation, freed from their linearity, become material of the video composition through the technical devices of the medium. (from the curator’s statement) …The nucleus of the project is the 7.1 channel sound installation “The Forest Within – Within The Forest”, a collaboration with Colombian anthropologist and biologist César Enrique Giraldo Herrera. Entangling a spoken fabulation with a polyphonic speculative score, the piece investigates indigenous narratives and knowledge of the natural world as well as sound and listening as methods for exploring the ‘non-tangible’. While the fabulation, co-written by Giraldo Herrera, sounds out animist understandings of reality by adopting various perspectives, the polyphonic score is inspired by shamanic conversations with the ‘forest within’ and delves into interspecies communications in the Amazon rainforest…

Void Fish Blinks Blind @ Transart Festiival with Charlemagne Palestine

A color-inverted version of the artwork has been used as visual in the collaboration with Transart Festival 18 and the special event with the american composer Charlemagne Palestine.

(from the curator’s statement) …With “For Indigenous Yeasts and other Microbes”, the second work presented at ar/ge kunst, Islands Songs have set the process of transforming grape juice into wine to a soundtrack consisting of three acts written for and dedicated to microorganisms active in the production of wine. The piece – both an experiment with South Tyrolian vintner Thomas Niedermayr (Hof Gandberg, Appiano) and a soundtrack realised in collaboration with American artist and composer Charlemagne Palestine – refers to the ancient tradition of humans and microbial communities collaborating to produce food and beverages.

Graphic design and illustrations for the book “il 1968 (raccontato a ragazze e ragazzi)” by Marco Grispigni and published by manifestolibri on the occasion of 1968 anniversary. The book is part of “Raccontati a ragazze e ragazzi”, a book series for young readers (age 12-16) According to the global perspective of the publication, the images cover a wide range of topics and countries. As general effect, I wanted to reach the visual impact of a silk print test-proof.

From the curatorial statement: “The pursuit of fast growth is changing the way we use and perceive time. Our current perception of time is that it is something that we can control, manipulate and simulate. We live in ever more productive society, that is constantly surrounded and framed in the context of time. In the first Volume of the exhibition series Wasting Time a selected group of mostly Berlin based artists is questioning the meaning of time as an exorable medium of change, forced by (artificial) nature. In various constellations the artists show a shared interest in the notions of time, and the different ways in which the perception of time can be manipulated through (artificial) nature. Current theories about time-production play a significant role inside the exhibition as well as the reflexive treatment of time and its reception as a cultural dominated construction.”

Book design for the spanish artist Andrés Galeano, on the occasion of the exhibition “Un mundo paralelo”, curated by Joan Fontcuberta at Rocaumbert Fàbrica de les Arts, 2016. Conceptually meant as a touristic guide, the photo-book “Google In View” consists of the following parts: a three-pages cover, one booklet of 44 pages and 2 leporellos of 5+5 pages (one of them is double-folded and opens up as a poster). Signed edition of 350 copies. Printed: 4/4, closed: 11,5×19 cm, 2016

Graphic design, Illustration → “K2020 Streetgame” (2015). Homepage. K2020 is a collection of games about the The Klausenerplatz Neighbourhood Climate Protection Concept that aims to significantly reduce CO2 emissions in the Berlin Klausenerplatz neighbourhood by 2020. To make climate change on site tangible Tacit Dimension have created five Mini Street Games and an Agent Game for smartphones. K2020 is a joint project of the “Metropolitan Utilities Dialogue”, a climate-oriented innovation platform supported by Climate-KIC consisting of leading Berlin utility providers as well as public transportation: BSR, BWB, BVG and Vattenfall.

Development of the corporate design i.e logo, all printed materials regarding exhibitions, events and PR, including individual graphic designs for each of the three exhibition programs: Grim Projects, Whistle, Minotaure! and Extension Series.

Grimmuseum was a non-profit artist-run exhibition space and platform for visual, performance and sound art in the premises of the former Luise Grimm Museum in the Fichte Strasse 2 in Kreuzberg. Grimmuseum opened in january 2010 showing more than 200 international artist.
